By fostering partnerships and leveraging community-driven insights, we aim to dismantle barriers to economic and maternal health equity, thereby creating a foundation for long-term success and well-being. About Chanelle Hubbard

Born and raised in Austin, TX, and a mother of two boys, Chanelle understands the unique challenges and joys of motherhood, which also fuels her passion for supporting Black mothers in her community.

Over the past years, she has made significant contributions to BMATX as an Administrative Assistant, and is honored to showcase her commitment and expertise. As the Lead Coordinator for the Perinatal Empowerment Alliance, Chanelle is deeply committed to serving the Central Texas community by building partnerships, uplifting community voices, and driving collaborative solutions that advance maternal health equity.

About Healthy Start

The Healthy Start initiative is a federally funded program that addresses the significant disparities in maternal and infant health across the United States. By focusing on community-based solutions, Healthy Start projects provide comprehensive support services to families, including prenatal care, postpartum support, and education on parenting and health.

About Black Mamas ATX

Black Mamas ATX’s mission is to ensure that Black women survive and thrive before, during and after childbirth. We envision a world without maternal health disparities. Our goal is to reduce and eliminate the alarming maternal mortality and morbidity rates among Black mothers in Central Texas.
